Enforcement & Inspection: Grants authorized personnel the power to inspect these vehicles and declare those with hazardous conditions "out of service".

Lead Agency Designation: Designates the Rhode Island State Police as the lead agency for the Motor Carrier Safety Administration Program to manage inspector training and certifications.
