Establishes grant program for alternatively fueled drayage truck or cargo handling equipment projects. The commission establishes and administers a grant program
to encourage the purchase, construction, and installation of
infrastructure needed in non-attainment areas and affected counties of this state to support the use of drayage trucks that are or cargo handling equipment that is powered by an alternative fuel. A grant awarded under the program established by this section may not exceed more than 80 percent of the estimated purchase, construction, and installation costs of the infrastructure project, provided that the commission may establish a reasonable maximum amount of a grant awarded per infrastructure project as needed.
