CA SB 338
Publicly identifies trucking companies that violate labor, employment, and health and safety laws. Puts customers on notice for financial accountability.
Expands the set of violations that can cause port drayage
contractors to be placed on a Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) list that extends joint liability for future violations to customers who contract with contractors on the list. Additionally, the bill would require an audit to be conducted before a carrier can be removed from the list. Amended to include a follow-up audit.
